Here is Clawdeen Wolf with another weekly blogspot.

Next week, there is Valentine. A Howliday the normies (and some of us monsters) really like, because it is the day of romance and friendship.

Again, I created some new outfits for this day.

There are a lot of my friends who don't have one so far, but since my own outfit for this occasion meanwhile begins falling apart, and I am opening the blogspot most of the times myself, I decided that I needed a new outfit as well.

And yes, that is the outfit you see on the picture above as well as on this one.

It looks like Shirt and Skirt wouldn't fit together, and I agree that on the pictures the green hearts on the skirt really look different from the one on the shirt, but... they don't look THAT different in real life!

The very light purple of the long sleeved shirt also repeats several times on the skirt.

I found this little hearts (the one on the shirt) in Kik Germany, and yes, they will repeat in the other outfits I did as well, you will see.

Also the new pattern I designed for the skirt.

The earrings I am wearing I also wore at the old outfit, but as I told you, that one had to be changed out.

But I am not the only one I designed an outfit for.

Here is the dress I made for Ari Hauntington.

I didn't find another fabric with hearts pattern, so for her I used a purple one with white polka dots all over. For her, I shortened the skirt design a bit and sew it to a top and added one of the hearts I found to the top and two to the skirt.

As you can see, those work as pockets, and I added also two little bows there so the whole dress even looks a bit more romantic.

Draculaura would like that one as well, I think.

Ari doesn't wear earrings, so for her I added a purple headband as accessorie, made from wire hidden under purple yarn with another one of the hearts sewn on.

Here is what I came up with for Gigi Grant.

The fabric her clothes are made of was thought to be Draculauras, but I will make a different dress for her someday using the fabric, she generally loves hearts as motives.

So Gigi got this fabric instead this year, and I used it for a top that generally had just one shoulder, but then I added another strap using some really cute wooden heart shaped beads Calaminthe found.

Gigi's skirt, made from the same material, has a glued on purple belt with some half beads and a pink lace border at the bottom which makes the skirt a little bit stiff.

This year, I also made an outfit for Calaminthe's Photographer Lammily doll who is called Elea and part of this household since Christmas.

It is the first outfit designed for her since then.

Elea has a short T-Shirt dress made from pink striped jersey, hold by a pink lourex belt.

In her hair, she is wearing another headband accessorie I finished. Hers is pink and has two little fabric roses sewn on.

I hope you liked my ideas for this years Valentine.

DOLL SPECIAL: Hair Fair Barbie (Ellen)

Hello Ghouls, Mansters and Normies,

here is Cleo deNile with another weekly Blogspot.

Today, after a long time, we decided to make another doll special.

This time for the first time, its the first special that is not Monster High themed.

Instead, one of Calaminthe's other dolls is my special guest:

Ellen!

Or: Hair Fair Barbie?

Well, my name is Ellen. It is the name Calaminthe gave me back in 1975, when she brought me home.

Back them, I only had been a HAIR FAIR BARBIE HEAD, a replacement for another head that had gone lost, and I got a new body.

Okay then, Ellen. we talk about your body later.

But... I always thought you had blonde hair? Now it is brown?

Well... it is just my favourite wig!

The Hair Fair Barbie head came with this brown wig and several other different hairpieces.

This also is the reason for my short blonde haircut, which I love.

I just thought the brown wig would fit better together with the clothes I am wearing today.

That remembers me on why you are here today, to show me your warderobe, please.

And, in your case, tell me a little bit more of your body, maybe.

The body I have is a Twist'N'Turn Body from the 1970es.

Calaminthe isn't sure which Barbie doll it originally belonged to.

She thinks it had been the 1976 Standart Barbie which originally wore a blue Bikini and in Germany was sold as "Meine erste Barbie", she thinks, in a cardboard box.

Calaminthe really loved her, but sadly, her head was lost while Calaminthe was playing outside, and it never had been found.

It is called Twist'N'Turn because this body type could twist the hips.

I also am able to bend my knees. Also you can move my legs at my hips, bend my arms forwards and backwards and my head to the side.

This Barbie Body Type made it easier to swap the head, because in the early Barbie bodys there wasn't an anchor like in todays bodys to fix the head.

This made it so easy for Calaminthe to give me the head I now have.

Well, now to my warderobe.

Today I am wearing a combination that originally belonged to Calaminthe's sister's Barbies.

The powder pink top had been knitted by her grandmother who had been a professional tailor.

She made a lot of wonderful clothes for Calaminthe herself when she was a child and her whole family.

And, from time to time, she also made something for the dolls, like us.

The colourful wooly material skirt and the jacket also had been sewn by her.

The jacket also has a second, red striped side, depending on how you want to combine it with other clothes.

Here is one dress that had been bought.

It is not a Mattel Barbie dress, maybe it had been one for the german Petra dolls by Plasty, but I am not sure.

Yesterday though Calaminthe saw a picture in the internet and found out that there had originally been a white lace coat to be worn together with the dress, but she lost it.

This is another gown I love to wear. Its also not Mattel.

Sorry I just can show you the dresses without all the accessories they came with. Part of those went lost with time, some of them may still be there but Calaminthe can't remember which ones went with which outfit originally.

This one MIGHT have had a golden clutch purse and orange or golden pilgrim shoes, maybe.

This suit is also one still saved from the 1970es, and again not Mattel. I love this one. It originally also belonged to Calaminthe's sis and her Barbie dolls.

This cute yellow dress is also one which had been made by Calaminthe's grandma.

It is made from chiffon, and so it is perfect for the summer.

There is also a long skirt I can wear over it, or as a single skirt together with a different top.

Here I am wearing a knitted blue bikini.

Also grandma made.

The last dress I want to show today, this time accessorized with some white boots, also is self made by grandma.

IT is a very typical kind of dress for the 1960es and 70ies and so for the Mod era, which I am part of.

All the stuff I showed you is not necessarily my own.

We Barbie dolls don't have a warderobe just for us, we swith between each other, and since there are some more of us Mod dolls living in Calaminthe's home, maybe the others want to show you other pieces as well, right?

Yes, there are some future plans, as Clawdeen told me.

Review: Minerva McGonagall Mattel Doll

Good day, Blogreaders.

My name is Minerva McGonagall.

People who know the Harry Potter literature sure know who I am.

For those who don't:

I am Professer McGonagall, teach Transfiguration in the Hogwards School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and am also head of Gryphindor house and - i the books - deputy headmastress of Hogwarts. Meanwhile I am headmastress.

This is all you need to know about my person, but whenever you want to know more, feel free and search that muggle thing called the internet.

Today I want to introduce my doll self to you.

Well, here am I still in the box.

The box is the same as all the others in the Mattel doll series, and they are already revwiewed, so I will not waist much more time on it.

Here is a look at its back. Of course my own pictures are the main theme this time.

When pulling out the display, you will find me with my wand pinned next to my hat.

Well, here am I freed from that display.

I am approximately 30 cm tall which is 11 1/2 inches.

Maybe you can see a little problem:

The hat does fit, but not too good, my bun is a little bit too big to be pushed under it properly.

You could pull the hat deeper, but I don't want to ruin my bun just for some silly pictures.

Now to the more detailed pictures.

It is all one piece but looks like a black dress with green velvet coat.

The dress part is, as I told you, black and the material looks silky. It has a high collar with a silver brooche sewn on.

The coat part has wide, open sleeves and at the front there is a bordering with rich golden printed on celtic ornaments.

You can open it in the back, it is closed with velcro.

My face is sculpted after the face of the famous british actress Maggie Smith who portrays me in the Harry Potter Movies.

My skin is light, my eyes are blue, and my hair is coifed as a proper curly bun at the top of my head.

Its colour is a nice blonde, but I swear when I was younger it had been black.

Here is a profile portrait so you can have another look at my hairstyle.

Here is my hat and my shoes.

The shoes are victorian style laced boots in black and the hat also is black and has a brooche and two pheasant feathers sculpted on.

My wand also is black, sculpted after the one in the movies and has a tiny handle for my doll hands to hold it savely.

It is Fir and Dragon Heartstring, nine and a half inches, stiff.

Um. I know this is important for a complete doll review, so here is how my body looks. It has articulation at the hands, ellbows, shoulders, neck, hips and knees.

That's everything you need to know.

Winter 2018/2019 Collection

Hello Ghouls and Mansters,

here is Cleo deNile with another weekly blogspot.

Clawdeen is again busy with sewing, and so she asked me to show you the latest winter clothes she came up with.

As you can see in the picture above, I am wearing one of them.

One of our readers, Lyall, asked us if we could show you the scetches of the fashion too maybe.

It is a nice idea, and so this time you will see some together with the fashion.

Please excuse us the sketches just being raw doodles, they are just quick hints for Clawdeen not to forget what she originally planned to do.

Usually they come out quite different, you see.

Most of the sketches today are coloured in, because Clawdeen started another sketchbook (Nr 5) and wanted that one to be a bit larger and more detailed like most of the 4 ones before.

Calaminthe though scanned the rest of the old sketches - all of those - so Clawdeen now can put the older sketchbooks on a shelf.

Okay, let's start, with mine, because you already have seen how it came out in the end.

So, here is the b/w sketch.

Its one of the last ones in Sketchbook Nr 4, before she started the new one.

You see that the barret cap Clawdeen planned came out different.

Here is the whole cap. It came out much smaller then planned and it easily falls off my head and is not really warm, but I like the colour.

There is a dark blue pullover with lourex. 

Red and dark blue pants (which had been Jinafires idea! I like the material, it has a chinese pattern).

And, because I am not at all a friend of winter (I prefer the warmth of the egypt desert) there also is a warm quilted material vest with collar.

Here is the nexts sketch, a winter outfit for Abbey Bominable. The sketch is the first one in the new book, and as you see, Clawdeen now adds tiny bits of the material she thinks of when planning the outfit.

And here is how it came out.

Clawdeen planned a Baker's Boy Cap, but instead at the end she decided to do a light purple crochet cap to go with the rest, trimmed with a glittering border she found at Tedi.

The main piece is a white plush coat with cute little fake buttons, made from silver and light purple beads.

As accessories, Abbey has some light purple translucent bead earrings with tiny white rhinestone detail.

Under the coat, Abbey is wearing a high collar, but sleeveless top with a print on mainly black and purple, it is recycled material, and metallic purple leggings.

I am kind of jealous for that coat, it looks so warm and cozy! But I must admit it really looks perfect for the Yeti ghoul.

Here is a new winter look for Frankie, and it came out quite the same:

Frankie is wearing a short jacket out of houndstooth pattern material. It is trimmed with black, closed with press buttons and there are some black beads sewn on as fake buttons.

On her head she is wearing a red beanie with black and white detail, and there are also a pair of self made bead earrings for her.

Under it, Frankie Stein is wearing a pair of silky black pinstriped trousers (Calaminthe thanks her bestie Jianne for sending her this material, together with others, it is great!) and a simple red sleeveless high collar top.

Robecca also needed a new outfit for winter, and here is the sketch for hers.

As you can see, it also came out a little bit different.

Under her coat, Robecca Steam is wearing a purple and white striped blouse with golden stud fake buttons and purple rubber material leggings.

Instead of a cap with feather, Calaminthe came up with another Baker's Boy Cap that is made from the same material as the coat, recycled kind of Jersey one.

The cap has a hatband and a little golden buckle.

Here is another picture, where you can see the coat, closed. It is waisted, longer at the back and trimmed with purple plush.

It has two rows of golden bead buttons, and they are closed with purple yarn. I think it really has a steampunk touch...

And here is todays last outfit, designed for Toralei stripe.

She already had the barret cap and a black fitting scarf, but at the end she decided to give the scarf away. Next year maybe Clawdeen will give it to another one of us.

At the end the jacket was finished as a blouson. It is made from the same knitted material as my pullover and has a grey fake fur collar.

Under the blouson Toralei Stripe is wearing a red knitted material pullover and simple black leggings.
