Halloween Season Part 3

Hello Ghouls and Mansters,

Here is Cleo deNile with another weekly blogspot. The photo above had been made again on the little cementry in our hometown, I thought it would be a great location for showing my Halloween costume outdoors.

Before I start to show you Clawdeens last Halloween creation for this year, there are some announcements you already know, kind of.

1. We will change the blog's name soon. It will then be "Calaminthe's Clawdeen & Fashion Doll Friends", most likeley, or "Calaminthe, Cleo, Clawdeen & Fashion Doll Friends". First one is shorter, though... but I want to be part of the name, so its not decided.

2. Of course, the blog then will get a new header and a new logo.

3. That means, Clawdeen also will design new T-Shirts for future giveaways.

4. Other Fashion dolls also will be included in the blogspot. There are enough "normies" in Calaminthes home, and they would introduce themselves too, from time to time. Either in reviews, or as part of giveaways, or with new Fashion Clawdeen designs, or else.

5. Main ones, Calaminthe promised, still will be Monster High, especially Clawdeen and me.

These are the future plans, and we want to start next week with those changes.

But now back to this weeks theme.

Here is the third and last dress Clawdeen designed this year for Halloween, and it is:

IRIS CLOPS AS EYES GHOUL

This costume is a little bit simpler as the two ones before, and Iris didn't want accessories because she didn't want to ruin her hairstyle.
Clawdeen will be happy to hear that Iris loves the dress. She likes eye themed motives, and her original earrings fit the dress perfectly.

The main piece of the dress is a mini dress, made from black panne velvet. Clawdeen glued on as many eyes as could fit in different sizes.

She originally planned to place the eyes completeley all over the dress, but they fell off again and again, and still do, and she has to fix them each time, and then she suddenly saw that more of them also would look like too much.

Also, I agree with Iris that the dress looks better with the eyes just going over one of her shoulders, its more stylish.

At the bottom Clawdeen added two layers of black tull to give the dress a more spooktaculair, or party-like look.

The back is plain and closed with snap buttons.

And the black suits Iris very niceley, of course the eye theme as well.

Well, and that's all for today.

I hope you liked the blogspot and we would be happy to see you back here next weekend.

Have a majestic weekend and a royal week, and

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Bye,

Halloween Season Part 2

Hello Blogmonsters,

It's Saturday and so its again time for a new blogspot.

I am sitting on a bench at the beach promenade in Olpe-Sondern and enjoing a dawn, dressed in my Halloween costume. I realized that I never made outdoor pictures wearing it, so here it is!

Today, I want to show you the second new Halloween costume I made this year.

Please enjoy:

VENUS as FLYTRAP!

Well yes, its no surprising costume for her, but of course it fits.

When finishing it with the orange and black fabric, I wasn't sure how it would match her colour scheme, but I have to say I love how it came out, and Venus told me she is very happy, and its absolute her!

Venus' long green and pink hair is hold by a big black ribbon with a black bow and a scullette ornament. The bow and the ornament I had saved from one of the german MH magazines a while ago.

The costume has two parts, a top and a skirt.

Here is the top.

The black dotted, orange cotton material is corseted with the same black satin ribbon I used for Venus' hair accessorie, in the same manner as Ghoulias Zombie Bride Dress I showed last week.

The wide skirt is mainly made from the same material, but it has a big mouth sewn under with white felt teeth and pink batic cotton material.

In there, and over the whole skirt, I glued on rubber flys to make it more look like a halloween costume.

As you may have seen, one of those also is glued to the top.

The back of the skirt has five fabric leafs glued on, plus a ribbon around the waist.

Both pieces are closed with snaps.

Here is the whole costume again, this time from the side.

And we are at the end of todays blogspot.

I hope you liked my costume idea.

Bye for today,
and as always,
a fangtastic weekend and a clawsome week!

Halloween Season Part 1

Hello Blogmonsters,

Clawdeen Wolf here with another weekend blogspot!

Before I start into Halloween season, I want to say something.

Thank you very much to those readers who gave feedback to be on how it should go on with this blog. it meant a lot to me.
Some of your comments are not even answered, but I will do it soon.

So, this is how things will change from now on.

It seems that the ones who commented like the blog as it is, with english language, self made doll clothes, nature pictures and Monster High mainly.

And this is how I -MAINLY - will go on.

But also, you will be introduced to other dolls that live in this house together with me, like Barbie, Harry Potter, Lammily, Bratz, Flavas and more.

There will be a mixture of reviews and self made stuff. But there will also be Giveaways from time to time.

The name of the blog will change a bit in close future.
We think of "Calaminthes Doll House"
"Calaminthes Fashion Doll Channel" or "Cleo, Clawdeen, Barbie, Lammily and more".

Its not yet decided.

One thing is sure: You will still find a lot of the stuff you like.

Rest of October is already planned. All with Monster High. And I want to begin right now.

As I told you, I worked on some more Halloween Costumes for some of the Monster High Ghouls.

Today, I want to show you the first one of them, and until Halloween, you will find out which other ideas I came up with.

Now, here is:

HALLOWEEN BRIDE GHOULIA YELPS

This Halloween Costume is inspired by Tim Burton's Corpse Bride as well as by Morticia Addams dress, from the Addams Family.

Here is a picture of the back.

The dress mainly is made of a white jersey with a lace layer.

It has zombie like frings at the bottom and the long sleeves and a goth style.

The bodice is laced up with white ribbon on silver rings, with a bow at the bottom.

The veil is simple. It has an egg shape mainly, but I cut frings in the bottom part.

It is fixed on Ghoulias head with a rubber band hair accessory.

Calaminthe found three of these hair accessories at TEDI Germany. There are flowers all around the rubber, and there had been three different hairbands in the pack:

One white, one light blue and the third sky blue.

I took the white one and cut of some of the plastic "crystals" who had been holding the flowers, so that there had been just 5 left over, and I changed some of the white ones against some of the lighter blue.

And yes, that's it for today.

For next week, I planned to show you the second MH Halloween costume I designed this year.

I hope you liked this one.

For the ones who like my crochet pumpkin dress too, there is a tutorial how you can do it.

Here it is in english language:

Und hier in deutsch:

Thank you, again, for your feedback. it was very important for me, it always is. Its good to get some feedback from time to time.

But also I want to thank my silent readers, without you the blog also wouldn't exist anymore.

CALAMINTHE IS BRAINSTORMING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THIS BLOG.

Hello everybody, here is Calaminthe doing the weekly blogspot today.

There is some important stuff I'd like to discuss with you, important for future blogspots. I really would love to read what you think about this and that, before making a descision. If you are still interested in what I do, please read it all:

- Well, I decided to blog on next weekend. There are several things I can post, either reviews or Halloween Fashion.

- Today, I brainstormed which of my MH dolls are not yet pictured in Group Photos, and there are a lot. Some of them even are not here anymore in the original versions, but I still have the fashion. So, there is much, much photowork to do, still! Much stuff for Photo Specials in the future.

- I didn't plan a Halloween Giveaway this year. There is not enough stuff to give away. Maybe we will have enough at Christmas, but that also depends on how big the interest will be, and how much money I can spend on international shipping.

- For future Giveaways I'd like to know, if you would have interest in stuff for other dolls as well, like Barbie, Mc² and Lammily maybe. I still have a MC² doll I want to give away, but need to know how big the interest would be before changing everything.

- I also spend a lot of time with cleaning up my home at the moment and going through old stuff I eventually don't need anymore, and I found some cute things that are nice for Clawdeen and her Monster Friends as accessories for future monster fashion projects and also maybe for future Giveaways.

- Sometimes, I am not sure if I should go on blogging. There isn't much feedback anymore, I know that many MH fans already lost interest and during the last weeks, I am unsure if I should give up this Blog as it is and start on another, which then would be a mixed fashion doll review blog with just a little self made fashions, giveaways and other things. And that one would be in german too, there are already so many toy channels and blogs in english language.

- I's not that I don't care anymore about my international readers, I always was very prowd that so many people around the world seemed to like what I do and still are. I too still enjoy being part of all the international MH facebook groups, where I made great friends which I don't want to loose. But as I already said, there are already so many international doll and toy sides, especially some really great YouTubers who all do similar stuff.
For Germany, there are also some similar sides and channels, but not as much. Also, half of my readers ARE german, and I know they would feel more comfy having a blog in our mothers language.

- Its also a little bit tricky to blog since the laws about how to post things changed this year. There is so much one can do wrong, and I want to be a friendly blog, even for children, and not break any laws, of course. I don't sometimes dare to post links to other websites. I had many ideas how to go on just with MH in future, for example search pages where to get MH stuff yet, or maybe from time to time post cooking recipes that would fit the theme, but I don't know if I am allowed to. It is especially difficult when everything I do is written down in a language that is not my mothers language. To research words and phrases in english still is a big part of each weeks blogspot, and sometimes I am not really able to talk about what I want to, just because I don't know how to do it in a language that isn't mine and I learned when I was in school 35 years ago. Of course, though, its great to practice my english and communicate with people all around the world, always hoping to be better in future.

- It's not over yet as it is, I just brainstorm. Maybe next week I just go on as I always did, letting my Clawdeen and Cleo be the ones who talk and do things.

- If I would change, those two still would be two of the most important characters, but I also have so many other dolls that never had the chance to be "alive" or shown, like Barbies, a Lammily, Bratz Sasha, some few Disney characters and else. A short time ago, I bought some of the new Mattel Harry Potter dolls... there are endless possibilities.

I really would love to read what you think about all of this. Please comment, either on our facebook site or under the blog itselves.
