Pawlas new Friend (Chelsea/Shelly/Tutti dolls and fashion)

Howllo Clawdeens Blogfriends,

I am Pawla Wolf, Clawdeens little sister, you know.

And I am going to do a looong blogspot today, because I am so exited!

I hope Clawdeen will not be angry with me about this...

You know, I have many siblings to play with, my brother Barker is the same age as me.
But... Clawdeen has so many monster friends, and I just have my siblings. And now... you know what?

Yesterday I was playing in the house, when suddenly a cute little puppy-dog came towards me and wanted to play.

I was surprised, I never saw him before here... yes, the house is big for a little doll, but I didn't know what else is here...

Well, there was that puppy, and I asked him what his name was, when I suddenly heard a voice calling "She is my Puppy, and her name is Rainbow!"

I was very puzzled, when a little blonde girl came towards me... not a werewolf or other monster, you know, just a normie child, but it seemed she didn't fear me...

I asked her who she was, and she told me she was the latest member of Calaminthes household, and that her name is Maud, and she is a doll from "Club Chelsea".

And I said to her, I am Pawla and I am a Werewolf, and she asked me, if I would bite her, and I said, of course not, why should I bite you? I love steaks and sausages...

And Maud said, she had to ask her big sister if she could play with me...

Her sister is a Made To Move Barbie doll. Her name is Berry.
And this Berry was there as well. And she was very nice. She told me she knew that many Monsters live in Calaminthes house, and that there isn't a reason to fear us, and of course Maud could be friends with me, you know...

She said friends!

And I asked Maud:

"Do you want to have a werewolf as a friend?"

And she said: "Yes, that would be awesome! I only have normal friends, I would love to have one that is strong and maybe can protect me... could you?"

I said:

"Yes, I would love to, I am very strong, and sometimes, when I tussle with my brother Barker, I win, I am an alpha wolf"... Well, that was a little bit of a little teeny tiny itsy bitsy lie, maybe, that alpha-wolf thingie, but when I grow up, I will be one for sure).

And now here is Maud, and she now is my beast friend, or as she calls it, best friend!

I have a friend!!!!

And Maud told me, she would want to show me some of her new fashion, if I like, and her other friends!

Here is Maud, still boxed.

You see at the front of the box that it just says "Barbie" and "Club Chelsea", and she doesn't really have a name.

So Calaminthe, when she brought her home, gave her the first name she was thinking about, and that was "Maud".

The back of her box just is cardboard with a lot of firm infearmation.

This is Maud, fresh from the box.

She has the size of a Chelsea doll.

Her skin is pale, she has an open smile, her eyes are greyish brown and her hair combed to a sidewards ponytail. The colour is a blonde with a little reddish shimmer.

Maud is wearing a dark blue skirt with letters in different colours which is very cute, and a pair of pink sneakers.

And she is wearing a white top with a kitten that is listening to music, but the top is shaped to her body, as well as a white pair of undies.

So Maud just can pull clothes over her top and not pull off her clothes completeley.

Here is the Raincoat Fashion pack Maud was wearing when she met me.
It is new, so you still can find it in the shops with a little luck.

It fits all Chelsea dolls.

In the set, there had been a translucent yellow rain coat with hood, a pair of purple translucent boots, a purple umbrella and the little puppy.

Here is a picture of another Chelsea doll living here who tried on Mauds coat first.

It fits, but the dress Bunny (that's the name Calaminthe gave to her) is wearing makes it a bit harder to pull it over her arms perfectly.

This is another Chelsea Club Fashion Pack Calaminthe bought.

A set for a little ballerina girl.

Opening it up, you see that this one comes with a blue sparkling bodice, a blue tutu, pink shoes, a pink tiara, a pink water bottle and also a sports bag that says "Barbie".

Calaminthe first tried that outfit on Deidre.

Deidre is a Shelly or Kelly doll and living here since 1998.

Though Deidre has a different body type and smaller legs then the Chelsea dolls, the outfit perfectly fits.

But it also fits on Bunny.

Maud had a hard time trying it on because the bodice is so tight that her molded-on top is a little bit in the way, even though principally she has the same size as Bunny.

Here is how Bunny originally looks like, without her box.

Calaminthe didn't save the box.

She has the same size as Maud, as I told you.

She is a
"Chelsea Target Easter Set" from 2011.

You could get those easter themed Chelsea dolls in different colours.

Bunny has pale skin, red hair and greyish eyes. Her hair is styled in two pigtails and she has bangs.

On her head, she is wearing a headband with yellow easter bunny ears that are pink inside.

Bunny wears a dress that looks like shirt and skirt, but it is one part.

The shirt part is mainly pastel purple with pastel blue and yellow flowers, yellow seams and a yellow bowtie.

The skirt part is just pastel blue.

Bunny has molded on undies that have the same colour as her body, but her legs don't.
Those are yellow to look like a pair of stockings.

She is wearing a cute pair of pink shoes and also has a pink basket full of eggs.

Here is another picture of Deidre.

She is from 1998, a part of the so called "Shelly Club" or "Kelly Club", depending on where they had been produced for.

Deidres name was given to her by Mattel.

She has long, black hair, dark skin and brown eyes.

Calaminthe is not sure which outfit she originally came with, also not which hairstyle she originally had.

The outfit she is wearing may be hers, but Calaminthe had a lot of fashion packs also from the late 1990es, so it also could be one of those maybe.

Here is Deidres body.

All Shellys/Kellys had this type.

They had been smaller then Chelsea, more like toddlers.

These are Jenny and Tommy, wearing raincoats as well. The coats had been part of a fashion pack.

They also are Kelly dolls and blong to the same era.

Another Jenny, this time with open mouth and dressed as a jester.

She was a gift from Calaminthes friend Jianne, and Calaminthe loves her as she is, so she never took this Jenny out of her box.

Good, so now youcan see how the Shelly / Kelly Club boxes looked like, and that you could find the names in the upper right corner.

Here is another one, this time in her original clothes.

Her name is:
Kwanzaa Keeya.

And one more, with glasses on. She also still has her original look.
Calaminthe doesn't remember her name though.

And two more, dressed for festive occasions - not their original clothes.

But they both still have their original hairstyles.

The one of the left is a Marissa. The other one also has lost her name. Maybe Calaminthe will find out later...

The last three kids I want to introduce to you are Chris, Todd and Carla.

They had been produced in the 1970es together with blonde Tutti, who also is part of this household but isn't photographed yet.

Tutti is a doll Calaminthe has since she was a child, those three here on the picture she found years ago on a flea market and dressed them later in fashion that also came from that era, called "Mod Era". At least Chris and Todd... dark skinned Carlas set may be part of her when Calaminthe found those three. But maybe it also is a fashion pack from back then.

There are other doll kids living in Calaminthes home, as I now know, for example Stacey, some babies and others.

Maybe those will be themed in another blogspot.

I am very glad that, with Maud, I learned so many other doll children live here to play with and be friends with.

And who knows, maybe my brother Barker can be friends with Tommy or Todd...

Sigh...

end of blogspot!

I want to go and play with Maud now, taking Barker with me this time and knowing all the others better, so...

byebye!

Have a clawsome weekend and week and such!

REVIEW: Ghoul's Getaway Jinafire Long

Hello everybody,

my name is Jinafire Long.

I am the daughter of the chinese dragon.

I am living for Calaminthes home for a long time, and this is how I looked like when I first came here:

It is an old picture, and this version of myself is called "New Scaremester Jinafire Long".

I never got a review back then, but now I look different, and I want to introduce my Ready-For-An-Island-Howliday-Look to you.

I hope you will love it as much as I do.

I will try to describe myself for the ones that never had a Monstert High doll in hands before.

I am:

GHOUL'S GETAWAY JINAFIRE LONG

Here, still in my box.

I am the only one of the Ghoul's Getaway series that made it into Calaminthe's home so far, so I will describe the box to you first.

At the front of the box, you can see on the right side the Monster High Logo and the Logotype with the Scullette.

On the left, there is a nice artwork of myself on a black background with a red island flower, a shell and a batwinged drink.

Under the artwork, you will find my name next to a Tiki-Mask logo, and on the very bottom, you can see that I am meant for children age 6 and up.

There is a big plastic window of course so you can see me inside.

The boxes left side repeats my name, the artwork and the Logotype.

The right side is just clear plastic.

And here is the back of the box, repeating again the artwork, just bigger.
Under the picture, you will find the name of the series - "Ghoul's Getaway" - written in several languages, right above a repeat of the MH logo.

Left to the logo you can see photos of two other ghoul's that had been part of this series.

And then, firm infearmation will follow and, at the very bottom, the adress of the MH website and the Mattel Logo.

The close-up of the other doll's picture shows that they had been Spectra Vondergeist and Meowlody, the first time without her twin sister Purrsephone.

When you open up the box, you can pull out a cardboard background display with the doll pinned on it, in this case - myself.

The background artwork is mainly red with black and a little white and shows an island scene of Tiki Island.

On the black floor, the flower/shell/drink theme repeats.

Also on the floor, on the left side, you will find two technical sketches that show how you are able to pull out my ellbow and hand joints and my tail, so it is easier to dress me.

Enough time wasted for the box.

Here I am, freeed for new adventures.

As I told you at the beginning, I am the daughter of a dragon, and as such I have a golden skin and scales on my body.

My hair mainly is jade green, with black streaks.

In this case, it has bangs and is mainly long and open at the back, and I am wearing a (plastic) bamboo crown that is island themed, as the rest of my look.

The crown is pinned to my head, but you can carefully cut of the plastic pins, of course.

Sadly, my hair had been sticky with fabric glue that came out of my head, that is a general problem you will find quite often on Mattel dolls, most of the time on the ones produced in Indonesia.

There are several ways though how to wash out that glue, but of course you will have to open up your dolls hair.

Calaminthe uses baby powder which is kneaded dryly onto my head and left there over night, then combed it out dryly complete. Afterwards she washes the hair hand warm, either with a Baby shampoo or with fabric softener.

Most of the time, the glue is gone, but sometimes, you will have to repeat the procedure onnce, twice or maybe another time before it will be completeley gone.

Fabric softener is a nice option to get soft doll hair, but Calaminthe found out that the hair colour bleaches out a bit by using it also, so be warned.

Also, don't use a hot blow-dryer to dry the hair, it is better to let it dry over night.

Well, back to the review.

On this close-up you can see my yellow and green dragon eyes.

I am wearing black masquara, and dramatic eyeshadow in purple and gold that is painted on in the shape of flames - as a dragoness, I love the flames!

My lipstick is also a dark purple.

In my ears, I am wearing purple earrings with Tiki masks that look like little dragon heads.

Over my dress, I am wearing a huge belt piece that repeats the bamboo theme of the crown. It has a suspender part with a repeat of the little mask you find on the earrings, a belt part, again with a mask at the middle, and a skirt part that is shaped like flames, maybe of a vulcano.

Also, I am wearing two bracelets repeating those motives, this time in red.

Here you can see how the belt piece can be opened at the neck and the hips. And that it is shaped to leave enough space for my dragon tail.

And here is the dress.

Its a very nice satin dress in red, chinese style. Its print repeats the motives of my accessories, there are purple Tiki-masks, golden flames and a bamboo-pattern in the background.

As you can see on the picture above, it can be opened at the back. It is closed with velcro.

And finally, there are my shoes, high heel sandals in red, repeating again the bamboo, masks and flames.

Now to my body which wasn't reviewed so far. It is the classic MH body, but it has a dragon tail at the back which can be, as I mentioned already, pulled out for changing my drersses. The tail is of course golden with scales and has a green tassel at the end.

Here is a picture of my front.

The scales repeat on my whole body, but like a lizard and crocodile my belly looks different.
I have long thin claw fingers.

And I have articulation at my neck, shoulders, ellbows and wrists, tail, hips and knees.
Not only the tail can be pulled out (very carefully, please, the joints could break out), but the ellbows and wrists as well.

Well, everything is said now about myself.

For the ones who already have some Monster high dolls: Many of them came with a brush, a doll stand and a diary.

I didn't, this had been a budget doll line.

Time to say goodbye.

I wish you a fiery weekend and a fangtastic week!
