Hello Blogmonsters,
Here is Clawdeen Wolf with 2016s last Blogspot.
I am still wearing my christmas dress, but soon after I did the blogging I will dress in my party fashion.
So - after last week I didn't have time for a spot today I have a nice one.
Its a double review:
First I will review a book, and then the latest member of our growing clique.
What did you get for Christmas?
Calaminthe got some clawsome gifts.
These are the ones she got from her friend Jianne:
A beautiful gryphon pin, a clawsome Harry Potter themed bracelet and the Monster High Character Encyclopedia.
From her parents she got a new living room chair, a lamp so we now can work better on new stuff in the evenings and a new MH doll.
From her nefew she got 2 pairs of cozy socks and exquisite self made chocolates and her sister gave to her a Harry Potter coffee mug.
Here is the front cover of the Monster High Character Encyclopedia.
It is written in english language by Eric Hardie and published by https://www.dk.com/uk/
On the top of the cover you can see that it includes more then 180 MH dolls.
Here is a picture of one of the high glossy book pages that shows my basic doll.
As you can see, the dolls are described in detail and also you can find some facts about each one of us on the pages.
The book includes most of the dolls that had been published before the 2016 reboot and Calaminthe found out that even when you are a big fan right from the beginning of the MH era you can find some surprising little facts about us while reading it you may not have known before.
The book has 5 big chapters:
Chapter 1: "We are Monster High" shows first releases of I think all Monster High characters.
Chapter 2: "Stars of the Silver Scream" is all about the dolls that have to do with the published MH movies.
Chapter 3: "Eyeconic Collections" shows some of the most furricious doll lines that came out.
Chapter 4: "Two Ghoul For School" shows some of the two-packs that came out
Chapter 5: "SDCC Exclusives" shows all the exclusive dolls that had been made as San Diego Comic Con Specials so far.
The book is an absolute must-have for every MH collector!
And now to the review of our latest crew member which is
Electrified Silvi Timberwolf
Sorry when the pictures may look a little bit different or the review may be not as detailed as usually. Calaminthe opened the box in her parents home and of course on Holy Evening there had been much more to do then "just" opening this very one box.
So - here is the front of Silvies box, the usual Reboot blister box with MH logo, name of the doll and hints of the upcoming Electrified Boovie.
The design matches the boovie look.
The boxes back shows - next to the usual infearmation - a cute artwork of Silvi Timberwolf and also little pictures of two other dolls in the line: Draculaura and Ari Hauntington.
Here is what you find when you open up the box:
Silvi pinned on a dark background with colourful spider web design.
Again this series doesn't include brush, doll stand or diary as the classic MH did.
Nevertheless I personally think the doll itself has a good quality and is woth its price.
Here is Silvi Timberwolf freed from the display.
She has the same body type as me - the reboot werewolf body.
Her skin though is silvery grey.
She has furry sculpted werewolf ears on the top of her head and wears a pair of hot pink claw-shaped earrings. Those are each pinned in two earholes.
Silvi has mainly light blue hair with some yellow and pink streaks. The hair is crimped, side parted and hold back in a huge ponytail at the back of her head by a black furry sculpted plastic hair-accessorie.
Silvies eyecolour is a light blue with a little pink and she is wearing light blue highlighter and purple eyeliner.
Her cute nose has black wolf nose detail.
Her lips are pink.
Silvi wears a one-piece dress which has three parts: a top part that is light blue again and from wet look material. The skirt part is black with neon pink, yellow and blue wolf print and the ruffle at the bottom is from a stiff, plastic like material that is translucent and neon green.
She also has a huge neon green plastic collar that is sculpted like fur. Sadly you have to hold it in place by rubber bands. When you pull those off the collar slides to the neck of the doll. It doesn't fall off but it simply also doesn't stay at its place.
silvi Timberwolf has neon yellow sandals - sorry that the close-up didn't come out niecly again. They have some studs as details and claw shaped heels.
Here is one last picture of Silvi for today together with the giant nutcracker of Calaminthes parents.
And now we are at the end of todays blogspot.
Its some hours too early to wish a happy new year to everybody.
Before it is 12 o'clock on new years eve, the germans usually wish "Guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr" to each other which means, translated, "Good slide into the new year".
And that is what I wish to all of my readers.
Next years first blogspot will again be a review.
Time now to end and dress into party fashion!
💥💋💓🎇🎈🎊🎩
Guten Rutsch!
wishes Clawdeen Wolf
and the rest of our gang!
And Calaminthe wants to thank you for a nice blogyear!
