Hi Blogmonsters,
there is so much exiting stuff that happened here during the last weeks that I could do like 4 or 5 blogspots today.
Well, I decided to do two.
This one is the first of them: I want to introduce one of two new friends to you:
Welcome home to Goo...
...um... to Gooliope Jellington from the Freak du Chic!
As you can see, our new friend is very giant, but of course she will get a detailed review!
This is the box Gooliope came in. As you can see, its a little bit small so she can not stand upside down and it looks like she tried to break through the plastic with her hands.
Here is the back of the box which shows the clawsome artwork of Gooliope, you can find it as well on the boxes site and, with more details, at the boxes front.
The background/display in the box is mainly red and black and shows the panorama of a circus in the evening.
Here is Gooliope as a whole. We really love her circus style. Her hair is yellow with pink and her skin is pink also.
I am very sorry that I forgot to make a picture of her doll stand and diary, but she comes with both. The stand looks like the normal black stand but is of course much bigger.
She didn't come with a brush.
Here is a face-up. Gooliopes hair is combed to one site and curled at the bottom.
Her eyes are blue and her eyeshadow yellow with orange highlighter. Her upper lashes are part normal, part in loops and at the top of her eyebone there are some dots, as well a between the lashes under the eye. Her eyebrows are pink.
Her lipstick is a dark red.
Gooliope comes with big lemon-styled earrings and a neck-and shoulder piece in gold, and also with a fascinator.
There is a number at her neckpiece... if you read her diary you will know what this is about.
Here is a better look at Gooliopes fascinator which is a headband.
It is shaped like organ keys and pipes with two little black eyes so it kinda looks like a face.
This is Gooliopes 1-piece-dress.
The top is red and black striped with golden pattern, then there is a black and white striped belt part and the skirt itself has two layers. The upper layer has a pattern that shows buntings and tent curtain motives and repeats the colourse of the rest of the dress, the underlayer is black and white striped again and semi-transparent.
Gooliopes shoes are from swoft material so you can pull them off and on easily. Their heels are shaped like roundabout-hors-skelettons in white with a little black patina, the rest of the peeptoes is red and repeats the circus-theme. At the front is a black scullette.
Gooliope allowed us to show her upper body-joint that makes it easier for her to bend down a bit.
The leg- and armjoints are also new. They are at ellbow and knee a little bit darker then the rest of her body. You can pull off her hands as usually and her arms shortly under the shoulder.
Her whole body has those drop motives.
Here you can see how much bigger Gooliope is next to me.
One other question that might interest you is which other dolls clothes could fit to Gooliope.
We tried out Barbie dolls tops and found out that they fit quite perfectly but are a tiny bit too short.
Also, some of Kens pants MIGHT fit to her, Barbies are too small. At the end I guess its good to design all new clothes for her.
Here is one more picture of her together with some of us who met her to go shopping. Marisol was a tiny little bit shocked finding out that she is not longer the ghoul with the biggest feet at school!
Well, thats all for now.
Later I hope to be able to post another spot.
